Pasta sorta amatriciana
Today has been another busy day (well, busy by my current “still coming to terms with being disabled” standards, anyway), but one which has left me with little to write about.
I planted some plants, including a fuchsia which I hope will become a perennial feature of our summer garden, had a shower, did some online shopping, watched some tennis, and that was about it. But somehow I can’t stop yawning and feel utterly exhausted.
Dinner was a variation on the Italian classic amatriciana sauce: chopped smoked bacon, cherry tomatoes, tomato puree, garlic, herbs, and a little bit of chilli powder. Add some cooked pasta, mix together, eat.
Mum took slightly more than half and ate it all, which is good as her mood and her appetite have both been low today.
And that’s about that. Some evenings when I start writing I discover a new well of energy and inspiration, but not tonight. Hopefully I’ll have more of both tomorrow.
