Nacho cheese beanburger, strawberry yoghurt

Apologies if this review is even less coherent than usual: I’m writing it while watching The Curse of the Wererabbit on tv. I’ve seen this film so often I can quote whole bits of it from memory, so I shouldn’t keep finding myself distracted mud-sen…

Err, sorry, where was I? Oh, yes, cheese, appropriately enough. I did as someone on the Facebook page suggested and planned out our meals for the next week, but the plan was reliant on the extra groceries I had ordered for delivery this morning, but the delivery was pushed back by a couple of hours so the beanburgers and salad I planned turned into beanburger and the last of the cherry tomatoes for mum, and a beanburger between two (slightly stale, as I hadn’t realised they had been in the fridge for a few days) slices of bread for me.

Sorry, the longer distance shot came out all blurry because my hands have got the shakes.

Of course these aren’t just beanburgers, they’re Iceland nacho cheese beanburgers, and very good they are too, imo. The outsides go all golden and crispy, and the gooey nacho cheese leaks out and goes all crunchy. They’re mildly spicy to my taste, medium spicy to mum’s: mum doesn’t usually like anything bean-related, but she enjoyed these.

The burgers were cooked with the reluctant aid of today’s carer, who I shall not refer to only as C1, whose greeting to me was “you’re not vegan or anything stupid like that, are you?” and spent much of her visit lecturing me on the perils of the coronavirus vaccine and the merits of a carnivorous diet for curing just about anything. Only politeness kept me from rolling my eyes while the beanburgers cooked.

Right, sorry, gotta go: my phone has nearly run out of battery, and we’re nearly at the best bit of the film. (“Beware the full moon!” ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿคฃ)

See you later! ๐Ÿ‡

  1. For ‘carrot’. Yes, I’m still watching the film. I’ll be dreaming of rabbits and carrots tonight. โ†ฉ๏ธŽ
